NEW PRODUCTS & SERVICES: BANKING ON THE MOVE WITH ATM VAN
By ABA BANKING JOURNAL
AUGUST 1994
Mobile banking is coming of age, as more and more financial institutions seek to provide banking services at special events on the one hand, and at unforeseen disasters on the other.
Once viewed as a high-cost luxury, mobile banking systems are now more justifiable under the combined umbrella of marketing and disaster recovery, according to Mobile Automated Teller Terminal Systems (M.A.T.T.S.).
Unlike early mobile units which adapted cargo vans or recreational vehicles for mobile ATM banking systems, the company's new product also called M.A.T.T.S., has been created from the ground up for banking use. It incorporates all ATM, telecommunications, power, and security needs in one van and is ready to operate upon delivery to the bank.
A bank can purchase the M.A.T.T.S. system on a turnkey basis for $78,000 (plus the cost of ATM unit/s). Leasing options are also available.
